Key elements
Sustainability is the thesis, not a label: our funds are classified under Article 8 and Article 9. It is a continuous journey.
- 01
SFDR
Sustainability is written into the products themselves, not only the process. Tages Helios Net Zero, the renewable-energy fund currently in investment phase, is classified Article 9 under the SFDR — the regulation’s highest tier, reserved for funds with a sustainable investment objective — contributing to the Paris Agreement’s path to a low-carbon economy. Tages Credit Fund, which finances Italian SMEs, is classified Article 8. Across both, sustainability factors are weighed from technical and legal due diligence through to the ongoing management, monitoring and reporting of every asset.
- 02
UN PRI
The firm has been a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment since 2018 — through its parent holding, Tages S.p.A. — committing to the six Principles as the framework for all of its investment activity. Every year it publishes its UN PRI Transparency Report scores, so the commitment is measured in the open rather than simply stated. The 2024 assessment was the first to bring the private-debt strategy in alongside the infrastructure funds.
- 03
Carbon Footprint
The firm measures its own emissions, not only those of its assets. Its first Carbon Footprint report, produced in 2023 on 2022 data, was developed with the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano, and accounts for smart-working patterns and the 100% renewable energy supply contract for the Milan offices. The exercise is repeated every year and is being extended to Operating Companies where emissions cannot be cut through internal improvement, they are offset with voluntary carbon credits.
- 04
Diversity & Inclusion
In May 2024 the firm approved its Diversity & Inclusion Policy (v1.0), formalising a workplace where every person is respected, valued and given equal opportunity to grow and develop. It sits within a wider duty of care for staff: private medical cover extended to the family, life and accident insurance, and a welfare plan as part of standard terms. Smart-working, introduced during the health emergency, has been kept in place since to support employees’ work-life balance.
